What is Google Analytics for?

In order to track how customers move about your booking system, you might want to track them using your Google Analytics tracking ID. This ID is unique to each site you want to track separately, and is in the form of G-XXXXXXX, UA-xxxxxxx-yy, DC-XXXXXXX, or AW-XXXXXXX.

How to Set Up Google Analytics

To get a Web Property ID, register your site with Google Analytics, or if you already have registered your site, go to your Google Analytics Settings page to see the ID next to every site profile. For a more instructions, find you Google Analytics ID.

Add Google Analytics to BoothBook

  1. On the Top User Menu > Settings > More Integrations
  2. Under Google Analytics, enter your Google Analytics ID
  3. Click Save Configuration

Be sure to BLOCK your own IP address in your Google Analytics account

Update for Google's UA & GA4

Google Analytics is changing how they collect data for you. Moving from Universal Analytics to GA4.


Google's Universal Analytics (and UA-xxxxxxx-yy ID) property can be used to collect data up until July 1st 2023. After this, you'll be able to access your previously processed data in your Universal Analytics property for at least six months - find out more


  1. You need to convert your Universal Analytics (UA) property into a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property in your Google Analytics account. You may find that Google has already created a GA4 property for you and you just need to confirm a few things in your account setup. But if you need, you can find out more here.
  2. Update your Google Analytics ID in your BoothBook system Top User Menu > Settings > More Integrations > Google Analytics
